Hammaka Parachute Hammock

Hunting season is upon us. Some hunters like to be in the woods and ready at the crack of dawn. For this rare breed of folk, I recommend a portable hammock. They are lightweight and you can fold them up and put in a pocket or a backpack.

The Hammaka parachute hammock is a great, light travel hammock made of parachute silk. It is amazingly strong with a weight capacity of 450 pounds. You can easily string it between two trees and be the first hunter in the woods!

Pumpkin Pie

With autumn in full swing, here come the beautiful colors of fall. I love the sights and the smells of autumn. But this season always seems to go by so fast!

I like to look ahead to Thanksgiving, too. This Bliss Hammocks travel hammock is called pumpkin pie! That is sure a nice thought as I  sway in it, watching the leaves fall. I can almost smell it.

As I was walking along the shore of the Cape Cod Bay this morning, to my surprise and pleasure, I discovered another hammock! It was right out in front of a small beach cottage along the bay. I am always happy when I see a hammock. One more happier person in the world, that owns a hammock, I think. What a perfect place for a hammock!

I had to walk up and take a picture.  I see that it’s a Hatteras Hammocks rope hammock!  Would they mind if I just tried it out, since I am in hammock withdrawal this week? Well, that may not be a good idea, so I just take a picture, and feel a little happier than I already am.

Discovered A Hammock

I just love riding my bike here in Cape Cod. The sites are different than I see at home. You can see so much more on a bike than when you are zipping by in a car, as long as you don’t mind a few hills!

Today, I got this picture of a Pawleys Island rope hammock that someone enjoys from their view atop a hill that overlooks miles of sand dunes and the Cape Cod bay. What a beautiful site it is!

The Beauty Of Water

The blue water of the Cape Cod Bay with the sunlight glistening off of it is so serene and beautiful. I’m listening to the gentle bay waves lapping in. The feeling of peace it brings to me is incredible.

I can’t help wishing I had brought a folding hammock along! It would have been so easy and would have barely took any space. I could have found somewhere to hang it! Oh, well, next time…

Cape Cod

I am blessed enough to find myself in Cape Cod this week! I am renting a tiny beach cottage right on the Cape Cod Bay! As the saying goes, “it doesn’t get any better than this!”

I just get lost in looking out at the bay, watching sailboats go by. The only downfall is that I am in “hammock withdrawal” this week! I have to settle for a lounge chair on the sun deck, instead of a hammock or a hammock chair! Once you get used to the comfort these provide, nothing else quite compares. I will survive, though, I am sure!
