The Hammock Gazette

Today, I saw a sight that made me smile. I was walking along the beach, as I love to do every morning. I came to the pier and this is what I saw. Mexican hammocks hanging everywhere under the pier. There was a Mayan hammock strung between every post! They had their own little beach camp in the shade.

Beautiful, handwoven hammocks in every color. I was so sorry I did not have a camera with me! I would have loved a picture of this! What an easy way to enjoy the beach by using the pier posts! The aluminum beach chairs can take up so much room and you can’t stretch out in them. This was a perfect beach picnic for this family!
